Makinami Mari Illustrious wears a pressure-resistant prototype plug suit for deep dives in preparation for the final battle. In the story, she holds the motif of the armament used by EVA Kai Unit 8 during Operation Yamato in one hand, and the way she looks with a grin on her face gives you a sense of Mari's mature and relaxed attitude.
